Xp media center repair without xp cd

Specs: Windows XP

My computer did not come with the xp cd it came with that recovery partition so that i can restore to factory default. I want to try doing a xp repair. normally i would boot to the xp cd to do it. How do i do it since it has the recovery partition and no cd

You were supposed to make your own recovery disks when you got the computer. You MAY still be able to, if the computer is still working. Read your manual to learn how.

Also if you just want to repair, and you have a friend that has the cd it will work. Only an install will need key.

Be sure to put service packs back on.
