Scanner install caused Glitch, ?? We bought a Agfa Snap-Scan 1212P Scanner, and ran the included Softwear, it all went fine following Agfa's Install Instructions, ( We followed them to the Letter ) after the install, the instructions said to shut-down and restart the PC, we did just that, now on Restart we get the Windows XP is loading on the Screen then soon the screen goes Dark, ( not BSOD just black ) the Mouse arrow still showes up, after about 10 Min, that arrow turns to the HourGlass icon and in another 5 minutes the screen image appears blue ( Normal ) and the word Welcome appears, from this point on, nothing happens, no tool bar, no nothing, any input on this problem would be a great help, Thanks in advance for any input to solve this problem, Kind Regards, Suzan Miller.. ( PC is Compact Presario 550MHZ /56K ram with Windows XP Home o/s and AOL-7 ISP)

I read more and realize that XP and 1212P are a no go, OK Fine, then how do we get back to befor with nothing but a Blank Screen, no tool bar, etc, find & run a recovery Disc ?? we don't want to lose anything in our files etc ??

Try booting up in safe mode and uninstall all the scanner stuff.
