XFX HD5450 card installed but no signal.

Specs: Windows XP SP3, X2 4200+ / 2GB Corsair
Install card, computer boots but no signal to monitor.

I have a Sapphire PURE PC-A9RD480 Crossfire 200 motherboard (99% sure).
AMD Athlon X2 4200+ CPU
2GB Corsair RAM PC3200
Win XP SP3

The card works, i've tested it in three other computers.
I'm pretty sure I have sufficient power (500W) as one of the computers tested only had cheapo 400W.
I have updated the BIOS for the motherboard to as recent as I can find.
Tried different cables/connectors, plugged into VGA/DVI, tried removing RAM, etc.

The only thing I can think is that my mobo is too old for the PCI-E 2.1 - i'm waiting to hear from Sapphire about this.

Any ideas?

Usually you un-install the prior drivers and return to vga.

Then you may have to reboot to bios and set if internal video exists.

Then either install drivers at boot time or later with software.

Try steps one and two if the owners manual provides no help.

As for the pci slot what does the owners manual say about that?

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
