Not much?....it's more than I have, and I think my system does pretty good!
I would recommend NOT getting one of the ATI all-in-wonder cards. I rarely use the TV option and you will get more bang for the buck if your not paying for this additional feature.

the absolute (current) BEST card is one based on nVidia's Geforce4 Ti4600, but you're looking at $300-350, the to-be best will be the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro

Ok, the BEST you can get is a card that runs on an AGP 2x slot. And Geforce 2 I believe are AGP 2x 4x compatible. Otherwise, before then, the real ass kicking graphics card of the 2x period was the TNT ultra. Failing that, I really loved my Voodoo 2 Banshee, but I reckon it wouldnt do the job nowadays.

Try and go for the 2x/4x compatible Geforce 2 with 64 meg.

As far as I know, Geforce 3 and 4 will not work in your AGP slot, as it is not correct speed.

I would check on that though, as I would have thought a board that takes a p3 650mhz would have an AGP 4x slot. Check your motherboard for it's details and do some research first.

What do you mean it will not work? AGP is backward compatible, just like how an ATA-133 hard drive wil work on an ATA-100 machine, just not at the highest efficiency
