Hi, I have an HP dvd writer 630i and it won't read or recognize dvd's. I upgraded the firmware (didn't come with software) but was unable to download drivers for it. It will recognize cd's. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong? Thank you.

thanks...it's just 6 months old. i got it from my friend and he was using it up to yesterday. it will read and write cd's fine. he was unable to find the cd that came with it and HP doesn't offer downloads. you have to purchase the installation cd.
