Hi, I have Pioneer DVR-112D Dual Layer DVD±RW Writer and it can`t read dvds, but reads cds fine

any solution ?

New drive is the most common way to fix that.

DVD uses different parts to write and read than the CD part does. You can't fix it.

Below is another site that has some burners with free shipping and you don't need to spend $50 to get it.

Some also come with a version of Nero included.

You need to verify if you can use SATA or not because most new burners are SATA. There are some in the link below that are IDE and/or beige.
