Last night I was burning a DVD from one I rented. I grabbed by accident 2 blank dvd's & inserted both at same time. My dvd player was making noise & would not recognize. I finally saw what I did when I removed dvd's then put one in. It continued to burn in my dvd fab program. Today, I got up to finish with another movie & dvd burner won't recognize dvd in drive at all. The drive is making the same noise as when I put 2 dvd's in there.I put a cd cleaner in to clean & it recognized it, but still does not work. Can I fix this or does it have to have new one?

I think u have done serious damage in there(iam suprised u didn't see the tray struggling to close). U better replace the drive.

The tray did not hesitate to close when I inserted them. It is recognizing them now, but not reading. I think the round thing it snaps into has been bent someway. The dvd is sloppy, doesn't fit tight. Can I adjust something to make it click on the spindle tight?
