The internet connection only stays active for about 10 secons on the computer.

when i try and update the drivers with ones ive found online; vista says it already has the newest version - yet the driver date that vista shows is June 21 2006 - hardly up to date.

So how do i update the driver? Note all the other wifi computers in the house work fine, running xp.

sorry bout that - totally spaced that out - been mad for the last week about my internet - first cable modem caught fire - then wifi router needed to be reflashed for new modem to work - now my vista wifi is dying.

It is a linksys wmp54gs - not sure if it is v 1.0 or v1.1 - however i can certainly pull that card if need be -

Ive read that installing the actual chipset drivers instead of the linksys drivers have a tendency to work better - best ive found is its a b43xxx series chipset, but as for which one specifically, not sure yet.

several reviewers, state it works with vista , "out of the box", no need to install anything.
