Comment:

Just installed a new power supply (300W)/new case and now it fails to detect a ps/2 keyboard present in the boot process just after the memory test.

I have tried several other ps/2 keyboards that work fine on other PC's thinking it may be an issue with the keyboard but this is not the case.

I am using the normal ps/2 slot for keyboards on the gibabyte motherboard and even tried wiggling the socket in place no no avail. Tried it on the other ps/2 socket for mice and this failed to work also.

I am thinking it's an issue with the motherboard - could it have been damaged in the transistion to the new case??? Is there anything else anyone knows of that could be causing the problem???

Thanks

You can't get into the BIOS because the keyboard doesn't work (i.e. DEL button won't work) and I obviously can't boot into windows because the system only just boots past the initial memory test before the keyboard error pops up and says press F1 to continue but I can't do that as F1 doesn't register if the keyboards not working.
