won't boot past xp screen

i just removed my 300 watt Power Supply, and put in a Antec 400watt, and now my computer will not boot past the XP boot screen, just freezes. the power supply works fine becaue I tested it in another computer after.
My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-7VA (socket A) i have the latest Bios version.
anyone have any ideas? a setting in the bios I have o change? anything??

Perhaps when you were installing the PSU you bumped the RAM or another component. Check everything and try again. I had similar problems with my RAM, just wiggled it a little (with power off) and worked fine. HTH
Thank you very much MrSecret, that was the problem, everything is now working I was about to give up, thought i had doubled checked everything, but do remember now bumping the ram.
