My computer has been working fine for two years now since I put it together, the other day I decided to help a friend out and clean her computer out by bringing it home and hooking it up,I did no problem when I plugged mine back in nothing happened at all except a little green light on my Asus mother board,so I took out the power supply had it tested at two places it tested fine fan works and everything so I replaced the motherboard with the same type board asus premium I plug in the power supply the fan doesn't kick on or anything but that green light on the motherboard stays on unless I turn off the Psu but no fans come on at all CPU fan, case fan nothing,is it a tricky PSU? or could it be a bad CPU?.

I can find nothing the MB might be shorting out on,I would be happy just to get a fan to turn on ,what can I get away with 1 memory stick, cpu and heatsink,I dont need drives or video card to make to get fans on or a beep right?

I agree with jessejames.

Have you tried new stand-offs?

Note:It probably isn't caused by double negatives.

They just sound bad.

Right.
Try pulling the motherboard and hooking it up outside the case. If you get beeps or a display, make sure that there isn't a motherboard standoff in a place where the motherboard doesn't have a mounting hole.

Do yourself a favor BACKUP!
