I have a dell e1505 with a broadcom wireless card (at least i think that was it) but about a week ago i was browsing the internet a my friends office and the internet just stopped working. We thought the router had just shut off or got unplugged but when i got home i couldnt even get on wireless at my house and my computer doesnt even say it has a wireless card anymore. I have no idea what happend it just stopped working and ive installed 3 different drivers from dell and none have worked it still wont detect a wireless card.

I have used the fn+3 key which is the wifi hotkey to try to turn it back on, but it does nothing. I know I didnt press it when this happened because it just stopped all of a sudden. When i go into the network connections there is only a LAN connection, no wireless, so its not just disabled its like the hardware is totally gone.

I think that your wireless hardware has failed. Can you get a wireless card to try in your laptop? You could even get a cheap USB wireless adapter.
