hi, i recently bought a wirless router to connect to my cable ADSL modem to make my house a wirless network (gaming etc). The omly problem is that the cable modem is usb. The wireless router is ethernet. I tried to go around it, the man in the computer shop sais it would work. I connected the wireless ethernet conecction into the ethernet connection in the cable modem. Then connected the "conection to computer" ethernet slot to the ethernet slot in the back of the computer. All the correct lights are light up on the router and modem. I have wireless, computer, telphone line and internet lights flashing. I thaught i did it but my wireless devices can detect the router but can not connect to the internet. Can anyone help my out? I'm pulling my hair out! Can I get a usb/ ethernet adaptor? Or have did i throw my money in the toilet?
