Heya folks, if you have a spare moment I'd appreciate your thoughts on this, just seeking general advice.

I am asking your opinions for the most reliable Wireless Keyboard/Mouse technology. I originally wondered what Bluetooth Sets had over 2.4Ghz sets (Besides the massive price difference), but it turns out Bluetooth IS 2.4Ghz (Although the Bluetooth technology itself is bonus, can hook up to my UMPC which has a built in dongle). But as I believed, there is lower Frequency ranges, 27Mhz range Wireless Mice and stuff, which apparently have limited range though?

I'm looking to operate my PC through a Ceiling. PC in the room above, Lounge below where my soon to be new Flat Panel TV (1920x1080 Jobby) will sit displaying my Computer screen for DVD's and Gaming.

Do you have any Make/Models to recommend? Or any Technologies to particularly avoid, or favour? Any Battery Life, or Connection Reliability issues associated with either technology? First Models I have come across for a hefty price but seem to get good reviews, are the Logitech MX5500 or diNovo Media Desktop Models? Hoping not to hit that price bracket though, but if it means reliable performance, then sure - why not.

Thanks for your help in this matter, usually I do my own homework, but this seems a bit extensive, and I simply don't have all the time in the world like I used to :(

I'm not a gamer but I've heard that a wireless mouse and keyboard is not the way to go when it comes to games.

In all honesty, I have heard that as well. But I'm not a "hardcore" gamer, and for the past... half a year, my Wireless Mouse has never given me trouble - even it is sensitive to line of sight to the Base unit (Primitive Model I reckon), it has performed well enough for me in Counter Strike and BF2.

Also, it never requires charging all day, from Morning to late at night it operates tip top.

Anyway, it's not purely for gaming... so I guess no one has any suggestions? Meh, I'll do my own homework, I have this evening and tomorrow evening free anyway.

Thanks anyway guapo :)
