Reply: (edit)First I would check the back of your computer for and RJ45 or nework jack. It looks similar to a phone jack, which is RJ11, but is bigger. Like stated above if your computer is newer most motherboards come with a built-in network card. If you notice the jack is there you need to make sure it is turned on in the BIOS. I would first check within Windows by going to Start\Settings\Control Panel and then double-click the system icon to open it. Then click on the Hardware tab and then the device manager button. Look under Network adapters if there isn't one listed it is not turned on in your BIOS. I would then reboot your computer and hit the DEL or whatever F key it takes to get into your BIOS, look under the menus there until you find something about the onboard NIC or network adapter and enable that. If you don't have one I would recoment the LINKSYS LNE100TX PCI EtherFast Network Adapter, I have purchased one at Wallmart for $15. Install that into an open PCI slot and Windows should provide a driver for it otherwise you will need the CD that came with it to install the drivers. Good Luck!

Reply: (edit)Yeah, that's the one he's referring to. You can buy pretty much any 10/100 pci nic and get satisfactory results. "If it ain't broke, upgrade anyway."
