Comment: hey everyone~i have this realli weird problem with my QPC perfiDesktop DW-500(comes with both wireless keyboard and mouse) i just brought it lately, and when i first got the keyboard it was working awesome~ everything installled fine and everything was running fine~ both the mouse and keyboard. but then after i restarted my computer it started goin weird, after the first time i restarted it this is what happened: -the keys work so i can enter in to bios and everything and i was able to use the left right up down buttons to move around the menus. but after i let it load in to windows. those keys stopped working (up down left right keys). and every other key stopped working. the onli keys that still responded were the hot keys like getting internet explorer up or like changing the volume etc. those buttons worked fine. but i just can't type anything.... the weird thing is that my receiver recognises that soemthing is bring pressed and the little light flashes no matter what button i press~ so i don't understand how come i can't type anything... what makes it even weirder is that if i unplug the usb cable attached to the receiver and plug it in to another usb port, everything will reinstall and the keyboard will work fine again. but once i shut down my comp and restart it. it fails on me again. so i plugged the usb cable in to all my ports until all of them were installed, then my keyboard were unable to function anymore even when i changed ports... anyone kno how to fix this? i reali need to use my new keyboard since the old one that im using now is realli broken... anyhelp would be so appreciated...

Reply: (edit)Did WinXP attempt to install additional drivers for the device? Do you have WinXP SP1 or better installed? Look in device manager to see if anything is amiss there.

Reply: (edit)Here's a fix...toss it & get wired keyboard & mouse. There more trouble than they're worth (Security issues, batteries etc). Just another stupid saying...
