i have a new gigabyte b49g, it came with a wireless card, its setup up on the main computer fine, but the computer with the wireless card has serious issues, almost as soon as i open mozilla or any other browser the entire computer locks up and freezes, no viruses, updates all installed, and dial up modem works fine on it, think maybe its a a bad card or is this an issue with some wireless cards?

What is the model of the card? If it's a netgear WG311v2, those cards are bad about that, and need to use different drivers. Let me know if that's the one and I can help you with it, if not then maybe these other guys can help.

Yes, they can, and some can be really good at it. I would recommend a Belkin wireless card. I havn't had problems out of them yet. I don't know what to say about your GIGABYTE one, though.

I'm not sure if a Belkin wireless network card is the best choice either, mainly because I have been trying to set mine up for months now but it seems to like setting its IP to 00.00.00 every time it attempts to do something, but maby that is my router. Anyways, I know that when I first braught home my shiny new belkin card it did set up flawlessly and did work for about a week before everything gave up. Also you may want to check for IRQ conflicts and try changing PCI slots and see if that fixes anything.
