Specs: windows xp, 3.2 Ghz/2 GB
hi im working in an orgnization and i have 150+ nodes in the network, can someone tell me what software i can use to make windows xp or windows 7 ghost which can be restored in dos promte aslwell with a bootlable image. please if someone know about that software do let me know . thanks...

Windows 7 has PE and a complete way on their site to manage it and you can also create an XP PE disk to boot to a graphical install in xp to do similar deal. Almost no way to use dos really. One could use linux/bsd in a command prompt.

Some versions of Symantec allow both to be imaged.

Many other programs exist out there for soho and enterprise level images.
Simple is dd over netcat or ftp.
PING is a similar tool
Clonezilla is one.

Commercial apps like Acronis exist too.

Hang up and live.
