I like to install Windows XP on Mac using the Boot
Camp Assistant. Before starting it, I realized, I don't
understand what does it mean, that I should back up my
disc before partitioning it or installing Windows. (Guide-
given advice). How should I do it?

Drive Genius is a good program which will make an image of your MAC OS so if anything goes wrong when installing boot camp, you can restore the image. I'm not sure if you can back up to DVDs, but you can certainly store the image on an external hard drive.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I am on my way to learn and am
only a beginner. Your answer brought me closer to my search
for solution.
Thanks!

I'm glad I was able to help, but you might want to post a similar question in the MAC forum. I don't use a MAC myself, but I help someone with their MAC.
