Windows wont boot

CPU/Ram: +400 or 4000

Hi there everybody

its me again with another fun segment of whats wrong with my computer....

on a serious note

My home built computer is on the fritz and it wont seem to boot... and it will get into the BIOS and sometimes it freezes there. anyway it will start the loading screen for windows and then it will just restart.... or freeze. I tryed changing the ram, and my video card but still nothing.


Here are some specs for you nice folks out there willing to help me.

AMD +4000 CPU << or something like that lol
Ram 512- 2 gigs depends on the day :D but that dosent matter
Video card X16000 or ATI DH 4870

so any help would be much appreciated

Firstly clear that when you install winXP it is properly install & check that the bios settings

I have reset my BIOS sevril times and i know XP was working because it was working an hour earlier with no problems.

First of all check the cooling mechanisam of your PC, if the problem still continues try booting in safe mode and check what ever driver you have installed which could have an effect with the OS.

if you do not remember what driver you have installed then i suggest you boot in safe mode and restore your settings to the date before the problem accured, atleast for one day.

cant even get into safe mode it still freezes
