windows stops on mup.sys after..

I have recently put new lights in my pc 2 cold cathode lights. and i got everything plugged in etc... start up windows it would stay on the loading screen with the blue bar just going to the right constantly, so i tried safe mode and it was stuck on mup.sys.. i'm extremly angry because i dont think i hit any hardware and i even checked my motherboard plugs etc.. the hardware is all plugged in diffrently but the power supply is plugged direct to motherboard and hard drive.
