I tried to play a movie on WMP and it wouldn't let me. I then downloaded VLC and tried it, and it still wouldn't let me play the movie. It said, "'Playback failure:
DVDRead could not open the disk "D:\@1:1 :audio-track=0 :sub-track=0"."' What can I do, try, or download to be able to watch movies on my computer?

Sounds like you got a bad DVD.
Try the Disk in another Computer. There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.
possibly a silly question, but is the drive you put the DVD in a DVD drive? Could it be a CDROM instead?
