Comment: So i put in a new hard drive in my comp since my other one fried itself. Its a maxtor SATA 200gb. I hooked it up and installed the drivers. My bios recognizes the hard drive. But when i go to instlall windows on it it says there's no hard drives on my computer. I pressed f6 when set up loads and installed the drivers but i still get that error.

Reply: (edit)I hope this is as simple a problem you might have. After you install the driver from floppy and remove the floppy, are you putting the floppy in at the later screen that asks for the SATA driver again. I did not when I built this new puter and it finished the installation while I was in another room and XP could not see my drive. Hope this helps.
