windows cannot access my fully burned dvd

Specs: Windows Vista
hello sir,2 weeks before, i burned some data to a dvd.there were free space remaining.after a week i burner some more datas to the same dvd and finished the free space.this was done in windows 7.then i tried to install windows vista.but since the os cd were currupted i could not complete the i reinstalled windows 7.then i inserted the burned dvd(mentiond in the biggining) to my dvd rw.but it were showing only the files which i burned first time.then i just reinserted my the dvd i burned shows no files.when i checked the properties of the dvd,it says used space is zero and free space also zero.but the colour spectrum shows, used 100 percent.nw i am using windows can i restore those files from dvd? me pls

What burning software you are using? You are using a rewritable DVD? Usually you can only burn once in a blank DVD then when you burn again at the same DVD it will fail except if you are using an erasable one (DVD-RW).

How large is the second file you are going to add?
