Windows 8 computer not detecting Transcend external HDD

Specs: Windows 8, 4GB
my transcend external hard disk showing power, but not dectecting . how can i get back my data without loss. kindly suggest

Hello, when you connect your external hdd, do you feel any vibrations?

If yes, do you have same error when you connect it to other PC's?
Please open disk management and see if you can find your drive here.
If yes, it may be unmounted. You can refer here about assigning drive letters:

Finally, you can use a data recovery software (if it can be detected) this is your last hope.
Seagate File Recovery:

If it is not detected, please see a local technician to do it for you.

Look for the external drive in Windows Disk Management. Post ALL the information listed there for THAT drive.

I guess you should also try it in another computer too, as this will verify whether or not the drive itself is the culprit.
