Solved Windows 7 computer makes clicking noise, will not boot?

Mobo- asrock fatal1ty 990... / CUSTOM

Specs: Windows 7, 4.0GHz / 8
while playing smite last night, my computer randomly shut down. I restarted the computer but it swiftly shut back down. then it would not boot at all, and there is an amber light next to the ethernet port that is flashing and there is a clicking with it. The light flashes and clicks the moment i turn the power switch on the p.s. on. the clicking isn't coming from the hdd's (i have 2 2tb toshiba hdd's). really just wanna get a second opinion on if anybody thinks my p.s. took a s--- or if there is something else im overlooking. Any help is appreciated.

i have a crosair 650 p.s., the 24 pin connector that powers the mobo was not seated properly, the clip that holds the connector to the mobo is pretty weak and was not holding it down, i had to make sure the that clip was pushed in against the connector to put it in place.

i did however just post another question with the same story but different issue that came about after this was solved
