Hello,

I want to install a Fujitsu MPB3032AT hard drive on my computer, but my HDD has Win98 in it. Since I don't have a lot of RAM , playing games like NHL2003 (wich requires 128MB of free RAM on XP and 64MB on 98)would work better on win98. Can someone tell me how to add win98 in a multibooting menu and I could still use my other software like NAV 2004 which are on my primary Hard drive?

Thank you,

That's a tough one...you may have better luck in the Win98 or XP forum. I've setup several dual boot systems, but never the way you're proposing. My current system runs WinME/XP Pro. Generally, the older operating system (Win98) is installed 1st, then XP. I could give you my "best guess" but I think I'll leave it for someone who knows for certain. Good luck.

Hi
not sure why you want multibooting, just add the new drive; have i read this wrong?
?:\
install the 3.2(?) new hard drive as a slave , see the link for instructions
[Installing or adding a new hard drive ]
three main steps ,
identify and change jumper settings on hard drive to slave.
identify and connect hard drive to secondary ide connection ,& plug in power

boot pc , check bios identifies new drive.
Win 98 shouldnt be affected except drive letters are incremented.
