Win XP wont let me access 1TB FAT32 files

Specs: Windows XP
MY WD 1TB EXTERNAL DRIVE'S {FAT32 FORMATTED} USB CONNECTOR BROKE.. IVE INSTALLED IT IN MY PC AS A SATA SECOND DRIVE..IVE DONE THE STEPS OF DISKMGMT.MSC AND POPULATED THE DRIVE AND ASSIGNED A DRIVE LETTER ..SO IT SHOWS UP ON MY COMPUTER NOW AS D:..NOW WHEN I ATTEMPED TO EXPLORE FILES IT SAYS I CANT ACCESS DRIVE BECAUSE IT'S NOT FORMATTED.. I WANT TO FIND MY FILES ...WHEN IT WAS USB EXTERNAL IT SHOWED UP BUT NOW ITS IN MY WIN XP PRO PC ..IT WONT ...HELP ME PLEASE...

use 'testdisk' to fix the fat32 volume boot record. Be sure to read the How-to use first. Do a web search for the program.

Using ALL CAPS make the post harder to read.

What are you doing formatting 1TB with FAT32. Use NTFS, it is far more reliable and was designed for large disk. FAT32 wasn't.

i use it for playing my xbox games and playing movies thru ps3 and stuff

DOS? download the windows test disk. from the link given.

Or, buy a hard disk enclosure,
