OS: Windows XP Professional
CPU/Ram: Pentium 4 2.4GHz, 256MB R
Comment:

1) Does Windows XP Pro support a 300GB hard drive? Assuming that the motherboard supports such a large hard drive.

2) Is there a way that I can determine whether my motherboard supports up to what size of the hard dirve?

Thank you for any helps

check the motherboard manufacturer's website. It should tell you the specs.

WinXP requires SP1 for large drive support.

If the motherboard doesn't support 48bitLBA, you can add a PCI controller card that will (if you have a free slot).
