I am wanting to put this graphic card in my pc. Will it work ?? and if not what am i looking for when buying one to fit my pc?

Does memory type matter?? DDR3 on graphic card

No. System memory & graphics memory are not related.

I suspect you're going to have to upgrade the power supply to be able to run the 8800GTS. And if you only have 256MB of system memory, that needs to be upgraded as well. 256MB is pretty pathetic & is defintely a bottleneck in your system. You should have at least 2GB RAM, especially for gaming.

I am in the process of getting another 1GB ram and was wondering about power supply, At present have 300w power supply. All i am wanting to do is play Microsoft Flight Sim X with the system i got. Hoping this will be enough
