will restart out of nowhere

OS: winxp sp2
CPU/Ram: 1 stick of 1024 i stick 5

i have an amd 3200+ pross msi mobo
i just added 1 stick of ozc 3200 400mhz 1024
and ultra 512 3200 400 mhz
and a ultra 500 atx power supply
running temp is 45 c
not overheating
but it shuts down out of nowhere no errors or anything just shuts down and restarts
what could be the problem

If it ain't broke fix it till it is!

If you are certain that it is not heat related, then it is likely to be connection related. Try reseating every plug on the motherboard.

If this problem began after you installed the ram, it is possible that the new stick is at fault. Give memtest86 a whirl.

Do you hear a sort of discharge sound right before it restarts? If so then it is probably either a busted capacitor on the mobo or your Hardrive may be bad. Also, check your rails on your psu to make sure it isn't failing on you.

sorry it took so long for me to write i was having problems
but any way i ram the mem test and it was a bad stick of ram thanxs guys i got another stick coming to me
