will my system run vista?

CPU/Ram: Athlon 64 3700 & 2gb pc32

heres the specs for my computer:

athlon 64 3700+
200GB ide hard drive w/ 8mb cache
2gb ddr pc3200 ram
500watt psu
dvd burner and reader
integrated nvidia FX6100 graphics card

would my system run windows vista when it comes out?

will it run it pretty well like it runs windows xp pro?

what would you guys recommend upgrading? (i'm thinkin video card), but i don't know.

It should definitely run it, I'm running CTP 5308 build on my A64 3400+ and it runs like butter.

Probably because Vista looks cool.... and shiney... n' stuff..

That was my motivation behind XP.. That and the fact 98Se sucked ass...

so, nothing else would need to be upgraded. i know that my integrated card is one of the better ones, but would a regular video card (agp or pci express) be a better choice?

I tried putting vista on a 13gig HD and it wouldn't fit.

That's because Vista's installer needs a whopping minimum of around 8.5GB of free disk space or you won't be able to install it.

The 13gig HD was empty.
I think it needs about 14gig free to actually install?
I had to hook up a 4gig HD just to get it to install on the 13gig.

And if I took out the 4gig then vista would not boot up.

Vista needs 8 gigs minimum? That's crazy!!!

What in the world does it come with?
Microsoft ads? On os shouldn't need more than one gig excluding paging file.

What's it going to cost when it comes out anyway? $400? $600, $900? I'm sure Gates will be turning green when it's released.

Bittorrent websites are already releasing illegal versions of xp right now. You think they won't when vista comes out? Too bad it's not legal. Isohunt.com is being sued. It's too bad they don't last. What is this world coming to?
