Will my drive letters change if?

I have a cdrw/dvd combo which is really messing up and its old, I also have a DVDRW/CDRW drive, If I just remove my combo drive which is old and messing up, will it change my drive letters.............
I have my local disk C with 2 patitions J & K
my floppy A DVD/CD-RW drive D- this is the bad one DVD-RW drive E Compact flash F Smart media G

All drive letter assignments can be changed at will in Disk Management with the exception of the boot partition. In your case that is the C partition. All other can be reassigned.
When adding or removing the number of drives the letters could get reassigned.
All you do to assign them like you want is to first free up the drive letter first by moving it up to an unused letter temporarily. Then reassign the desired drive to that letter. Continue until finished.
You can also name the partitions so the name will show in My computer in addition to the letter.

Yes. Your hardrives (C, J, K) should remain the same. Floppy will also remain the same. The DVD, smart media, and CF drives (E, F, G) may change. However, if they do (and it causes problems), you can always manually set them back to those letters.
