Reply: (edit)Check your motherboard manual to see if it will support PC133 DIMMs and the maximum size supported. The Celeron 333 was designed to run at 66 MHz FSB, and thus too PC66 memory by default.

Reply: (edit) When I installed more RAM in my PC , I purchased a 128MB SDRAM PC133 stick. My PC runs a PC100, I was told that the RAM has backwards compatabilty. In other words you can use the 133 stick , however your PC will still run at 100 or 66 ! I also was told to install the larger stick in slot #1. The RAM upgrade was probably the easiest of all upgrades I've done to my PC .After I installed the RAM stick I booted up and my system automatically detected the added RAM. Good Luck, Nick

Reply: (edit)Backwards compatability isn't guaranteed, especially from PC133=>PC66. It does "generally" work from 133=>100, but I would check motherboard specs before buying anything additional. Both should be 168 pin, 3.3v, so I don't think it will hurt anything, and worst case scenario, it just won't POST and you take it out.

Reply: (edit)I have a Celeron 500 mhz with one stick of 128MB PC133 SDRAM and one stick of 64MB PC100 SDRAm on a 66mhz FSB and all works OK. 128 stick is in first slot, 64 stick is in second slot, 3 rd slot empty, 4 th slot is for Video card. Download AIDA32 from: http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32 Download the Enterprise version, exe file (self installing) and it will tell you all you ever wanted to know about your computer and some things you probably don't want to know.

Reply: (edit)I have a P3 800Mhz which claims to support both PC100 and PC133 but I once put in a 128 PC100 next to two 128MB PC133s but the PC100 wasn't recognised. Just give it a go anyway.
