Here is my question all. I am wanting to beef up my processor. I currently have a 1.5 p4 in my system and I want to put a 2.4 in it (the most my mobo will support). My mobo is an AB th711 mobo with 400 fsb. The fsb on the chip is 533 fsb. Will the buss on my mobo scale it down to 400 or will I have a conflict with it? I think it will scale it down kinda like what it does with memory but I want to be sure. Thanks for all the help guys.

Bart,

Yes it should work fine. It's not exactly 'scalling it down' but I think you get the idea anyways. The mother board will just be a sort of bottle neck to the processors potential.
