I have this wierd problem with my laptop that it wont start up most of the time. It turns on and with the lights on it and all and fans but the screen doesnt turn on and the computer doesnt start up, but on random occation it will just start fine and run fine for as long as it is left on. What could be causeing this as it has to be something with the startup..

Well unfortunately the Alienware is one of those things that totally kick butt when they work.. but frequently don't. A recent driver update may have caused a compatibility or resource conflict preventing the system from initializing. I am surprised that the BIOS doesn't load occasionally though. It's probably got good batteries (ie. CMOS, RTC).. I would guess it might be the PSU, CPU, RAM, or similar component that is malfunctioning. Either way non-dependable malfunctions are usually a sign of mechanical problems.
