Well very odd thing happened. I was at a hospital waiting on my mother to have surgery. The hospital has a guest wireless access. I took my laptop just to pass time along. Well anyway all of a sudden the wireless quit working. I tried everything disableing the built in card cmd ip/config ETC. cmd and ipconfig showed media connected but the wi fi software for XP saw the networks but could not connect. So I restore a ghost backup and see if that doese anything. Still it would not connect it saw the networks but cmd /ip config would not see the networks. I get home it works fine. I think I must have some hardware issues with the wi fi card.
I had some infections I figured that could be why I was haveing issues. I thought they were all clean but found out they came back. Thats why I ran the ghost restore.

If it works at home, it was probably the connection at the hospital.

It had a full signal. My dads laptop worked fine. The hospital was in Charleston SC. Driveing thru Charleston I found hundereds of wifi unsecure. When I stoped to fill up for gas I tried to connect to one and it would not connect tried the cmd /ipconfig and it showed media disconmected. Sorry I did not explain all this earlier. It is wierd maybe it's some internal issue somewhere. The Wifi has always disconnected alot and it would connect right back up.
