why my data on external hard can not be recognized

Specs: Windows 7
My adata clasic ch94 external hard containes about 20000 picts & some digital films.
A few days ago when i was paste my camera pictures on the hard, it did not respond & after that , when is connected to computers, it's LED blinks continuesly & after a few minutes (when can not be recognized) , shows the message: drive is not accesible - or - you must format the disk & some times beeps every one seconds.
can any one help me for save my photoes please?

If it is plugged into another computer can the files be seen then? If not the drive itself has probably failed. How old is it?

Look for that drive in Windows Disk Management. If it shows up there, post any and all information shown for that drive.

No backup storage method is infallible, especially if it's mechanical/electrical. Hopefully you have a 2ndary backup.

Sometimes it is just the partition table that is corrupt, try http://www.easeus.com/partition-man... this might be able to repair it so the disk is readable again.
Failng that Gparted bootable cd, can check the partitions
