My P.C: AMD 1.2GHz, 256 SDRAM, Geforce32MB DDR-RAM.

My Laptop: P4 2.4GHz, 256 SDRAM, Radeon 64MB DDR-RAM.

When playing The Sims, why does my laptop load slower than my PC?

Laptops are slower loading. check the type of hard disk and interface speed. that's the bottltneck in a laptop and not much you can do about it.

i have had similar problems, i found that if i disable my virus protect, games run/load/play faster and with less problems.
also, like RayMan said... disk access speed has alot to do with it, not to mention bus speeds, cache sizes, how much room is left on the drive for virtual mem. allocation.
