Can anyone tell me why does this Mouse move on its own when I am Scrolling or anything in general. For Example: If I was to Hold the Left Mouse Button down and Try and Scroll this Page Down, The Mouse is liable to Move up. Yea you might think Virus Right, Wrong I have Reloaded, Debugged and Reloaded. Run a Image from My other Computer to this one. Nothing helps. This mouse is fine on my other Computer. A Known Good Mouse does the same thing. What else could this be? I have tried to Reseat. Run Defrag. Reseated ALL HardWare. Nothing works. Can anyone help me?

You have the MAGISTR Virus. Go to the Symantec Website and they will tell you how to get rid of it.

Andy: You seem to be the only one who read what I wrote. You think if I change Ports with the Keyboard this would Cause my Keyboard to act funny? I was thinking maybe POSSIBLY a Virus But not the Magistr because my icons DO NOT run. Possibly, in the BIOS. Or a BIOS Setting somewhere?

Have you tried using a usb mouse????
As for your question about switching your mouse
with your keyboard......I don't think that would
work....,but I could be wrong????so try it,worst
case scenario your computer will give you that no
mouse found message.
Also if it is your mouse port?,ask your local pc
store for a ps/2 to serial adapter. It'll cost you a lot
less than a new mouse port.

Andy: NO I have not tried a USB Mouse.
* Slaps himself in the head for not thinking that himself. * And I didnt think about a Serial Adapter either. If Im not mistaking they make a PS/2 to USB Adapter as well. Thanks for the help man. Im going to try these two things and see if that helps. Ill let you know what happens when I swap Mouse and Keyboard. Im like you though it might not detect a Mouse. But then again, That is a Troubleshooting step, If the Mouse Stops working completely. Swap Ports with the Keyboard and see if it works and the Keyboard works. Anyway Ill let you know man. Thanks Alot.

i always thought that the keyboard and mouse ports were different, which is why they color coded it?

you might have set something in your mouse drivers, to invert the direction of movement?
