Solved Why does my Lenovo Y410P boot with a black screen

Specs: Windows 8
I just bought a Lenovo Y410P off of eBay from a reputable seller, had pictures of the laptop functioning as intended, but when I received it and booted the laptop it got stuck on this black screen with flickering gray vertical lines, that or it would go straight to a white screen depending on which keys I pressed. So Im wondering, what the hell? Is this a bad LCD or a bad GPU?

It could be a bad video card. Why doesn't the so called reputable seller replace the machine or refund your money? Try F8 & choose Last Known Good Config or VGA mode.

The world is full of rats, Republicans & Democrats.

I got in touch with both Lenovo and the seller. He offered to refund me right away, but the serial number has a year of accidental damage coverage tied to it too so I just called Lenovo first to see what they can do, and said the LCD was f---ed up. I hooked it up to my TV and I can use the thing but goddammit I paid for a laptop. Anyways they're gonna send someone out to fix the LCD as soon as the part is available. Figures. Id rather it be LCD than video card though, so Im gonna just see how it turns out.
