✔ Best Answer
Does the printer go through the motions but nothing come out on the page?

After rereading your original post I understand the printer is receiving a print command.

To verify the file being sent to the printer is not the issue I suggest you use the "print test page option" to verify the issue is with the printer.

If the printer goes through the motions then, The print head may be plugged up. Inkjet printers need to be used often for that to not happen. Try run the cleaning command.

You can also try the support page for that printer. Click the link below.

If it's the print head the price might make you feel it is best to replace the printer.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Hi, thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I went through all the cleaning schedules as listed under maintenance with no improvement. Then managed to remove the print head and washed it in luke warm water dried, replaced and did a final head clean and seems to be printing OK.

Thanks for getting back to us. Try printing something in color at least once a week, if not more often.

I have found that using generic ink is problematic. Even though branded ink is more expensive I would recommend that you use it.
