I have a Liteon DVD-Rom SOHD-167T and everytime I go to play a movie the image is all screwed up... It looks like the brightness is cranked up to max and it distorts the picture really bad. I have tried all kinds of diffrent players running from Windows MP 10, InterActual Player 2.0, BlazeDVD 3.0 Proffesional, and PowerDVD... I have even gone and put a beta driver for my GeForce 4 MX5200 Ultra video card. I had downloaded more codecs then I know what to do with. I have even checked all the drivers in my system to make sure that all are up to date or beyond and still it looks like this.

Try to copy the movie to the hard disk and then view it from there. Does it behaves the same? Does it behaves the same with all DVDs or just some? Did the DVD's ever worked?
It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice...

go into your "nvidia control panel" Click on "video overlay setting" then click "adjust colors" now that your at the color settings for overlays click on the "color profile" right under the graph, switch that to "advaned mode" this will reset all colors to defult, thus reulting in that 'washed out', real bright and blurry effect to be gone! Now your ready to Enjoy DVDs again!!
