Specs: Windows XP
While playing racers grid and prototype my pc shuts down all by itself and it takes time to start the system again I really don't know what the problem is, my motherboard is intel dg-31, agp- card is ATI Radeon hd 4650, without overclocked. I am guessing it may a problem of overheating but I am not sure and this thing is really getting in my nerve.... can anyone please help...!!

Install Speedfan or similar program to confirm internal temperatures at idle and under load. Report back.
If not overheating (very possible), it may be a bad stick of memory. Use Memtest to confirm this. Report back.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I agree with Fingers, start by checking cpu temperature.
