Specs: Win7, 4GB
just got a server box.
it has 2x xeon 2ghz procs
4g of DDR2 memory.
Tyan S2696 mobo(quite old now)

main pc at the moment is a
C2D 5200@3.5ghz
8g of DDR memory

I can swap graphics card,HD etc etc

which would be best for everyday use and gaming?

I run my own website and servers from my spare pc.
because of cost this hardly gets fired up nowadays :(

I'm hoping that this server box can run my website and servers etc and be used for gaming at the same time.

I think it would be ok but never had a proper server pc before.
it has some form of HD thingy for server use?
it has 1 cable that splits into 4 sata cables.
it sits in the small pci slot and is linked to what looks like a power pack/supply that sits in a pci slot but it has no 'golden fingers'.
I won't be able to plug this in as the graphics card would cover up the small pci slot :(

if I could use the server box for everything then it would save me having to fire up another pc.
main pc is in use almost every night, mostly for gaming.

See the two links below. Sounds like you have SAS drives in service.

it seems so,from your 2nd link I have a SFF-8087 cable.
although reading in the 1st link these ports seem to be integrated whereas I have add-in cards?

all just a wee bit o'er my head at the moment.
although the 1st link does say it's an ok workstation.

Thanks OTH,nice to know your still around :)
