I'm in the process of building my first PC but I am stuck on selecting the correct video card. I am going to use the ASUS AN8-SLI motherboard. Which is better: 2 - MSI nVidia GEForce 6600GT 128mb cards or 1 - MSI nVidia GEForce 6800Ultra 256mb card?? I can get the two 6600GT's for about $384, but the 6800Ultra costs $425+. Which is better for performance? I'm going to be using my new rig for gaming mostly. http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NzEx did a bit of research. Sli, much like dual processors, is only of use if supported. And it seems it isn't supported on many games. One reviewer said, he would rather have a card that kicked butt. I would say of sli, it's been done before, And where are 3dfx now... Get the rock solid card.
