The T5500 is a better CPU & runs at a faster FSB. And AFAIK, there is no L3 cache...where did you get that?

I'm fairly sure that's a mistake. AMD CPUs have L3 cache, not Celeron M's.

I saw another one of your posts & it appears that you already bought the Acer w/Celeron...so what's the deal with the T5500? Are you in the market for another laptop already?

Celeron is Intel's low end CPU. The M560 may run at a higher clock speed than the Core 2 Duo T5500, but it runs at a lower FSB. Not only that, but it's a single core CPU...the T5500 is dual core. Plus the T5500 supports SpeedStep, the M560 doesn't. What that means is the M560 will run at 2.13GHz at all times while the T5500's clock speed will vary depending on load. You'd get significantly better battery life from a laptop with a T5500 than with the M560.

I bought the celeron on sale and then I checked the same website that I bought it from and they had another deal which is the core 2 duo notebook. This celeron is not for vista especially with only 1GB ram.. too slow for vista. So now I am having second thoughs about exchanging it with another core 2 duo or dual core :) ..

I have two choices either exchange it with a core 2 duo 1.66GHz 2GB ram notebook and an Intel Media Accelerator 950 graphics card or a dual core 1.8GHz 2GB with a ATI Xpress 1100 graphics card. both same price.
