HI,
I want a suggestion from u,actually i have bought a CPU of 2GHZ intel celeron
with motherboard of ASUS (P4SGX-MX).
but the problem is that i feel it's copying speed too much slower than my previous computer that was P3 (D815EEAA) WITH intel
original processor 733MHZ.
Please tell me would this present P4 combination is true or not ,if not then told me which is best combination.....does intel original processor gives best performance with ASUS.
Also tell me is thier any jumper setting on motherboard,in BIOS or any other way ...so that my computer gives me the best performace.
Please read this carefully and give me the best suggestion.
THANKS! in advance ..

Celeron cores based on P4 are real crap.
I've seen performance comparisons between a Duron 1600Mhz and a Celeron 4 2600Mhz and Duron is faster and much more inexpensive. For the cost of the Celeron 4 2600 you can get an Athlon XP 2400+ with is a lot faster.

I recommend either to return the parts and go with a Socket A mainboard an a Duron 1600/1800Mhz. or if you can an Athlon XP 2000+ OR
buy a Pentium 4 CPU, I think the 2.66Mhz one has HT support, but not sure. Maybe it cost much for your budget

Hope this helps.
