Out of these two laptops, which one is the better deal?
Both are the same model, but the Walmart one has a faster processor SPEED, but maybe not the best processor technology. It also has Vista Premium. The Micro Center one come with Vista Basic - which I doubt is a huge difference, correct me if I'm wrong. My main question is with the processor. If the Walmart one is worth the extra $60 for the processor and the Premium, I'd go for that. But if it's really no difference, I'd get the $379 from Micro Center.

The Dual-Core is most likely going to perform better.

In your two choices the Aspire 5315-2639 is better, but just as jam suggested, that eMachines from bestbuy is quite nice choice, and you can also have a look at this Acer Aspire AS5735-4624 2GB 160GB 15.6 inch laptop $400, with Intel Pentium Dual Core T3200 2GHz and Vista Home Premimum.
