Reply: (edit)XFX GF 6600GT 128MB was my choice, 500mhz core (52k aquamark result) in either 1024x768 or 800x 600 it works a treat, and in 3dmark is almost equvalent to a 6800 @ same res. both agp or pcie versions supported , dual div put with d sub adapters & a nice box. £150 uk noidea about the ati's see tomshardware.com for vga comparison

Reply: (edit)XFX GF 6600GT 128MB Would you get the AGP or the PCI-Express card? Which is faster? AND What Mobo is the ideal partner for this card?

Reply: (edit)Another vote for the 6600GT. That depends on your motherboard. You're gonna have PCI-E or AGP, not both. PCI-E is incidentally faster, but if your motherboard has AGP, you don't have a choice. "...but in my defense, it was dark, I was drunk, and it was delicious!"

Reply: (edit)That mobo is PCI Express. Dude, if you're gonna get an SLI mobo, get a card you can SLI with later. Otherwise, why are you spending more money on a mobo that you're not gonna take advantage of. Translation - Buy a 6600GT. ;-) You would be right about those two video cards, but a 6600GT would own them both. "...but in my defense, it was dark, I was drunk, and it was delicious!"
